The Sealy Area Historical Society will hold the annual old-fashioned style Spring Picnic on Saturday, April 13, 2013 on the grounds of the Santa Fe Museum located at 211 East Main, at the corner of Silliman and East Main, in Sealy, Texas.  See printable map by clicking "Map for Spring Picnic" on left of page.  Admission is free.

The Spring Picnic has the feel of a picnic at the turn of the 20th Century.  Games and tournaments will include:  tricycle races, horseshoes, washer pitching, hoop and stick races,  checkers & dominoes.    

Antique Car, Buggy & Tractor Parade
At 12:00 noon a collection of antique trucks, cars, wagons and tractors will make its way from the Liedertafel on West Main to the Santa Fe Museum on East Main.

Antique Clothing Style Show
Antique Clothing and Accessories through the decades will be on display in the Santa Fe Museum.  Everything from 1800s clothes for infants to fancy lingerie will be on display.  A style show will take place at 12:30 PM.

Antique Toy Exhibit
See the toys that entertained children 100 years ago.  A great display of antique toys, including many toy trucks and dolls.

Try out the high striker - test your strength - see if you can ring the bell!
Learn to race with the hoop & stick!

Scavenger Hunt

Civil War Encampment
Civil War re-enactors will camp overnight on Friday, April 12.  The civil war camp sites will be authentic with soldiers on hand to tell stories and shoot the cannons.

Antique Woodworking Demonstration
See how everyday items made of wood were constructed years ago. 

Quilting and Spinning
See our spinners turn wool into yarn and quilters making beautiful items.
